I will eventually use the following line in a grand story of America's majestic midwest which will sound nor read nothing like anything by either David Foster Wallace or Dave Eggers nor any other Dave besides maybe Dave Thomas.
Dekalb is the kind of place where if at the end of a night you walk around behind the Junction restaurant so you can climb over the train tracks and cut through Huber park on your way get home, and you see a girl you know lying in the dumpster back there, you just say “hey”, she says “hey”, and it's no big deal.
